saw a great band last night. 5678s are three japanese women in matching sparkly silver dresses with boufants who play movement-of-the-ass-inducing rockabilly punk (including an encore of lulu's shout at about triple speed). their command of english was all the more entertaining for being piss-poor "sorry it's tuning time thank you", "we love you hello" etc, which made for indecipherable but highly entertaining lyrics with a lot of shoop shoops and la las. guitar solos, big crowd, sequins - what more could you ask for in an evening's entertainment?
